Charity partners Plastic Free North Devon will be inspiring and educating the next generation of mini eco-warriors by running their ‘Ocean Explorer’ workshops across the weekend. The workshops will take place both on the festival site and the beach, offering the opportunity to learn about the different coastal environments and get stuck into a variety of activities.

Mini Ocean Explore Academy on the Beach – 10am Sunday

This workshop will encourage the next generation of planet-saving superheroes to explore our rock pools and delve into the sand to discover the magic that is right under our feet! This will be an hour-long session led by Libby Bowls, the PFND Education Coordinator.

Activities include:

– Litter picking and sorting

– Citizen science

– Rockpooling

– Beach games

(Children need to supervised by adults and please wear appropriate clothing)


Mini Ocean Explorers at the Festival

From beach treasure activities and up-cycling, to giant eco Jenga and virtual reality experiences, Plastic Free North Devon will be hosting a space at the festival to explore your inner planet-saving superhero. The space is suitable for all ages to get stuck into activities, including a colouring and reading corner, so come and find what you can do to protect and improve our wonderful planet.

Activities include:

– Ocean Explorer beach treasure activity

– Repair Cafe upcycling activity

– Giant Eco Jenga

– Ocean Explorer Virtual Reality experience

– Reading and colouring corner

-MP Letter- Writing Workshop (age 7-16) –  2pm Saturday

-Rockpool Yoga – 10 am Saturday
